Employment is where Legal Brain goes deepest. The Fair Work Act is read from the Federal Register of Legislation, Fair Work Commission citations are checked against the Commission's own published decisions, and the templates cover the documents an employment practice drafts every week.
Ask a question the way you would ask a colleague: whether a casual conversion request can be refused, what the notice period is on termination, how an unfair dismissal claim differs from a general protections claim. Legal Brain searches its employment material first and answers from what it found, with the sections it relied on cited.
For Commonwealth legislation, including the Fair Work Act 2009, the section text is pulled live from the Federal Register of Legislation and shown with the compilation date, so you are reading the words in force rather than a paraphrase.
Fabricated and misattributed citations are the risk that ends careers. When an answer cites a Fair Work Commission or Full Bench decision (FWC or FWCFB), Legal Brain checks the citation against the decision the Commission itself publishes and gives each citation a confidence score.
Citations from courts without a live check are marked as unverified and link out so you can read the judgment yourself. Nothing is presented as checked when it has not been.
Six employment templates are built in, each with fill-in fields and an AI pass to expand the draft for your facts:
An employment agreement uploaded to the document vault can also be run through the contract review checklist, which flags missing or risky terms such as termination rights, confidentiality, IP ownership and restraint.
Research questions are anonymised before they reach the AI model. Names that follow a role or title (the employee, Ms, the client), phone numbers, email addresses, addresses, and labelled identifiers such as TFNs and super member numbers are replaced with placeholders, and the answer comes back with the real details restored on your screen.
Not comprehensively. The Hospitality Industry (General) Award is in the knowledge base. Other modern awards are not, so for award coverage and rates you should go to the Fair Work Commission's own award pages.
Fair Work Commission and Full Bench decisions (FWC and FWCFB) are checked against the Commission's published decisions. Other citations are matched against an offline citation index or marked unverified with a link to the source.
The deepest material is the national system under the Fair Work Act. State industrial relations coverage is thinner, so treat answers on state systems as a starting point and check the state legislation directly.
